Fantastic days in London
From the 2nd to the 8th September 2018, the English-LK from Mr Ormond took a trip to London. Mrs Kammel joined them as well. After a twelve-hour bus ride and an exciting night on the Ferry, the class started with a treasure hunt to get a first glimpse of the City. For the last few weeks they have been studying Shakespeare, so everybody was very excited to visit the Globe Theatre the next day. This interesting day ended with a visit at the „Top Secret Comedy Club“, where everybody had a lot of fun. They got even more Shakespeare input, when Declan McHugh, a friendly tour guide, showed them places in London, that were connected to the famous author. Afterwards and for the last remaining days, the students had the chance to choose the places they wanted to explore on their own. So some people went to see the British Museum, the Tower Bridge, Camden Market or Oxford Street. A few were so amazed by the opportunity to watch the play „Othello“ for which it was worth standing for three hours. To celebrate the last night in London, the class went to a typical English pub to enjoy the remaining time together.
